Harvest Rally 2022

Randy Gaybrick has volunteered to be the new Harvest Rally Master. The date will be September 24th. The rally will run out of ZZQ Smokehouse BBQ in Eagan, MN. It'll be a ten hour rally starting at 8 am with a mandatory rider's meeting at 7 am. More details to come.

Harvest Rally Signups

I talked to Alvin this evening and there are a some things which are causing confusion.

Team Signup Fees: If you want ride as a team, each bike ridden by individual rider must sign up and pay $60 (Novice team riders pay $30). If you are riding 2-Up, the fee is still $110 (or $80 if its your first rally). Note: We may change 2-up to $60 per person next year to keep things simple.

Team Rider Details: Read 20.4 in the rules, it should answer your questions. You must declare you are in a team to Alvin before the start of the Rally. http://www.glmc.org/rally_rules.php

Novice Team Riders: First time rally riders in a team, who would otherwise be in the Novice class, are still entitled the one-time $30 Novice discount.

T-Shirts: I don't have PayPal options to sign-up without a t-shirt. There has been some confusion about this because the 2014 form was used by some riders who signed up early. If you don't want a t-shirt, deduct $15 from your rally fee. If you already paid for a t-shirt and don't want one, we will refund you $15 at the Rally. You need to let Alvin know if you don't want t-shirt before the rally t-shirt cut-off date so he doesn't order one for you.

Harvest Road Rally

Spent the weekend chasing down GT’s on my way to Hutchinson to verify some details and find bonus locations. Here is what I have so far.
Start is at
Fun Sports of Hutchinson
16235 STATE HWY 7 E
HUTCHINSON, MN 55350
Rally Packets will be handed out 6am Saturday morning.
Riders may leave at 7am.
End location will be
Squeaky’s Grill and Bar.
1150 Hwy 7 West
Hutchinson MN
Riders must be at this location for check in no later than 7pm.
Social time will run 6:30 to 7:30.
Meal will start serving at 7:30.
Scoring will start as riders come in.
Then the awards handed out followed by the crying in our beer.
We have the banquet room for the whole night and we will offer a shuttle to and from your motel all night for free.
The King Motel has rooms at the rate:
1 bed $50.00 plus tax.
2 bed $59.00 plus tax.
I stayed at the King motel this weekend. While the motel is old and dated it was clean with fresh sheets. I like the setting because I could park my motorcycle right outside my room. These are there regular rates and we were not offered any deal. Other motels close to end location did not have any rates as low as these. You are welcome to stay anywhere you want. We will still shuttle you from other motels.
Now the meal.
This will be a buffet.
Meat will be Baked chicken and Baked ham.
Tossed salad.
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Green Beans with Bacon and Onion
Italian Crusty Rolls.
Soda, Water and Coffee.
There is a full bar for beer and drinks but this is not provided by the GLMC.

I'm not able to post in the Announcements, so I hope you'll read my post here.

Friendly Hostess Road Construction Report:

Otter Tail Beach Resorts coordinates are:

We are located approximately 9 miles North of the town of Battle Lake, MN on State Highway 78. Our street address is 28255 N Midway Park Dr., Battle Lake, MN 56515. Telephone: 1-800-451-0710.

There is Road construction on Highway 78 this fall, and these directions will save you approximately 30+ miles of unnecessary detours. The signs at Highway 210 and 78 on the South side of Battle Lake say "Road Closed, Follow Detour." You however should proceed North through the road closure sign and continue North to Battle Lake. At the Dairy Queen the road really does end, and you can continue North by taking the side streets. I go 1 block West to S. Lincoln, then turn right and proceed North on Lincoln for approx. 4-5 blocks, then turn right and go 1 block to Highway 78 and turn left. You may proceed the 9 miles North on 78 to the resort. The speed limit in Battle Lake is 30 mph. This is strictly enforced.

Between Battle Lake and the resort, there have been 2 culverts replaced under Highway 78. There is no pavement at these two locations, only gravel. They are well marked. Please slow down.

For this years Harvest Rally I will need an email VERY SOON. Graphics for the Sweatshirts got dropped off last week. Sweatshirt order will go in on Monday 9-23-13!!!

Bonus's are picked out, typed up and on a Google Map. Link to the map will be sent out next weekend. I need to do a little formatting to pretty up the Bonus Pack and add some point values

The Rally Chef, Sunshine, has her menu planned out. It will not be the same as last year...but equally as good Unless your name is D**a then you might cry

Harvest Cabins

As of right now 3 of the 8 cabins has been spoken for and paid for, thanks Connie, Jeff and Rich.

If you plan on staying at the resort I will need your $100 for your cabin and which cabin you would like. This will be subject to change as I see fit to accommodate everyone.

Do not contact Beth about cabins. Same deal as last year, first come first served.
