It just snowed 5", so I'm looking forward to happier times. This spring, my fiance and I are going to put on an RTE. Date is as of now undecided. We are taking suggestions for the menu, and the sooner you get your request in, the more time there will be for practice meals!

If anyone needs/wants to stay overnight, just let us know as we should be able to sleep quite a few people in the house.

Also [once we figure out which day we are having it] if you could let us know how many you will be bringing and if you want/might stay overnight, that would be awesome so we can make plans.
How about doing it on a Sunday?
For those of us, that Saturdays are part of our 40 hour week.

One of the best RTE I have ever been to, served nothing but hot dogs.
What made it the best was the 50+ toppings (not kidding) that was offered.
I will keep the Sunday thing in mind. Hope to see you there!
Like the 50+ toppings Smile

And maybe a little group GT run?

Sunday is better for me also (it's an omaha/counciltucky thing Wink )

PIE!

Hope I can make it, look forward to seeing details.
Knew pie would be a request. Sleddog has also requested fried chicken . . .that was way back at the last Martinsburg RTE.

I will save all the GT's in the area around Sioux City for a group ride, and scout ahead for good picture locations. I'll post a list of towns once we know what the official rules are.
If I'm able to come, I will gladly bring food to share. That might be PIE!, possibly a bundt cake (I'm not bad at those as it happens), or, well, could be anything.
I will bring an empty stomach and a full magazine. Smile

Oh and my charming personality....lol
Suggestion for those of us not near sewer city .... as I have heard the locals call it Smile

How about group GT on Saturday with the RTE for brunch on Sunday?

I could arrange something like that. I planned on getting all the local ones right away, so I could scout out a good route. Sounds like a good idea!

And yes, it is Sewer City, as anyone who lives in the south end of town can attest to the smell of.
I like the Saturday route and the Sunday Brunch, since I am out of town....on the north side. Depending on the weekend I would like to make it Smile
Couple ideas . . . .

Saturday GT ride followed by the meal, then breakfast on Sunday

Saturday GT ride followed by going out to eat at a restaurant, then lunch at about 11 Sunday

If anyone needs a place to stay, we can possibly offer a few beds. Friday night I'll be in Orange City, and I have one twin bed to offer, and some floor space. Plenty of room for camping if you want to stay outside. Saturday there may be two guest rooms in Sioux City we would like to offer. There are lots of hotels in the area, and the new Hard Rock is just down the street [about a mile].

I'm still working on the GT route, and will pre-run it to streamline the operation. How many miles would everyone like to ride that day? If I remember right, the USA double points week ride with Cruzin was about 300 miles.
How about a date ?
Mid May most likely, we still need to figure out an exact date. I know the ORPR is the first weekend of May, so probably not that weekend.
It is looking like May 23rd for the ride with food afterward. That's not engraved in stone yet, but is very likely the date.

That is Memorial Weekend and the Bonzai Road Rally you might want to reconsider.

Ah, shit. Didn't even think of that. Will look at the schedules again.
Between birthdays and the Bonzai, looks like it will be pushed back to July.
